OBSERVATORY
The spiral stair rises through the ceiling and into a small, metal-domed room
at the northeast corner of the house. The area is bathed in a dim, reddish glow
emanating from a hidden light source running around the top of the wall.
Crowded shelves and semi-circular tables covered with piles of annals,
journals, magazines,
periodicals, guides,
and sky charts line the perimeter of the room.
From the ceiling hangs a mobile of the Apollo Lunar Module landing on the moon. And in the midst of it all sits a
leather office chair next to a small writing desk. Directly in front of the chair is an elegant looking
telescope.
There is a small almanac lying open on the desk next to an old PC
running Windows 98.
